Key Regulations

Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) Act

In force from 29 April 2024, this Act introduces minimum security requirements for ‘consumer connectible’ devices sold in the UK, often marketed as ‘smart’ or IoT (Internet of Things) devices.

Cyber Resilience Act (CRA)

An EU regulation adopted on 10 October 2024, it aims to ensure that all digital products and services (e.g. internet connected hardware or software) sold in the EU are designed with strong cybersecurity measures.

Radio Equipment Directive (RED)

The update includes cyber security requirements. In force from 1 August 2025, for internet-connected radio equipment and other devices. Focuses on areas like network protection, data security, and fraud prevention
